Tire question? Need help...

My rears are wearing and i need some new tires. Is it possible to run 255/45/20 in the front and 295/40/20 in the rear? Will i lose any performance? And also my camaro is lowered..

i'd put 315s in the back. they should fit no problem. better performance. probably a drag radial.

315 is the width so lowering shouldnt matter. the overall height of the wheel and tire with 315s or 275s should be about the same. i dont have 315s nor is my car lowered. stock wheels will fit 315s or even a little bigger if you wanted. i wouldnt go any wider on the front.

There is a guy with black and orange powder coated wheels in the classified section that is running I think 305s on the rear and it looks good. He is in the members/wheel/tire section

i dont see why your so hung up over the lowering and width. the ride height really shouldnt matter for the width of the tire.

by the way your best bet for getting an answer is pm one of these guys that have slicks/DRs or ask them in the tires section.
