MD/DC/NOVA Drag racers? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Was thinking about taking advantage of this great air and head to 75-80 or maybe Capitol tonight.. Anyone else going? I'm kinda new to the area and it would be nice to meet some of the locals.

Wasn't able to make it last night. I've only got about 1/64th of an inch tread left on the rears. I wouldn't have been able to hook up anyway. Do you go to the track very often?

I went to Capital.

First time ever stepping foot on a drag strip, either to watch or race. Met two other Camaro 5 members there.

I did 12.56 @ 114 mph on my first ever pass. Was a good time, I definitely want to go back now.

Just back from Livernois! Their 2C cam, Kooks Headers, Roto-Fab and dyno tune. Also had Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust and Vmaxx throttle body. Had a lot of fun.

I normally go on friday nights to 75/80 dragway. I will be there for sure this Friday. 9/23
Should be a great night. Lots of people say there gonna go. Still haven't raced another c5 with a sc or turbo. Looking forward to it!

I would've thought that there would be lots of FI C5's at 75/80 since it is the closest track to Tim's shop (T&T).

Doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate this weekend, tho. You think you'll make it next Friday (9/30)?
