Lighten the load?
So whose thinking of spending an extra 15k to lighten up their ride? Carbon fiber hood, fenders, roof, decklid, bumper covers/reinforcements, doorskins, driveshaft, quarter panels, lighter wheels, etc... We could keep going. What else can we do without jacking with the safety features and creature comforts like ambient lighting and leather interior? Gimmee some suggestions.

I'd rather spend that dough on power, drive train, brakes, etc.

you can buy fenders for like 600 per, and hoods for 1-2k, the rest i dont know everything cost wise, but i would expect that cost trend to continue.

I like your way of thinking. Don't worry about getting it to weigh less, just add more power.

i heard somewhere that dropping 100lbs is like adding 10hp. i used to weigh 250 & now i'm down to 150. i sure don't feel like i have the strength of 10 horses

just pull everything out that doesnt make the car go faster.
hell, take off the hood and panels completely and just run a shell. spending 15k to make the car lighter.... waste of money IMO. go buy a vette if you are so concerned about weight. 15k can make for a lot better performance elsewhere, then just remove the rear seats and other crap you dont need to go down the 1/4 mile. or build a tube chassis, pull the motor, trans and rear out of the camaro and put into the tube chassis, then take that 15k and do this for the lightweight pnls.....

I want to get some BBS GT-RS rims. Those are the lightest 20" rims that I like, and they look amazing.
I may consider other mods for weight, but I'm just not sure yet where that money will go.
