Popped her cherry!

Well I made it out to the strip last night (HRP)and Tropicana ran pretty decent. It was hot and humid, the DA ranged from 1800-2100ft. My best pass was a 13.33@107. I was pretty happy with that considering the weather and the fact that I hadn't raced a manual in over 6 years and it was a typical busy Friday at HRP and I only got 3 runs in. Oh and the car is bone stock. Still has the paper tags on it. Now let the modding begin!

1. I turned everything off.
2. Yep I launched at 3500. Quickly slip the clutch out but don't dump it. Feed it enough gas to keep it around 3500 as you launch and as soon as you're out mat it to the floor. That should get your your best 60ft.
3. I let it wind out all the way to redline.
4. I crossed the traps right at the top of 3rd gear.

Sounds like what I tried to do at C5fest, but I'd also try the Launch control (I only got one of those runs in because of the Pro-Tree I felt rushed), anyway ran similar times stock, but felt there was more when the driver got better, sounds like you had fun. I look forward to running again with the tune, CAI, exhaust, Hurst SHifter, etc. I do think I did kill one of my runs by shifting into fourth late (didn't do that again).

I would keep stabiltrack on and just get rid or traction control There was a Camaro last year that had it all off and hit a little oil one the track and spun it around into the wall. Stabiltrack will save your butt. Has saved mine a few time punching in the corners.

Thanks! I'm sure we'll be at the track again. I'll be there a lot this winter I'm sure.
