Not really arrows - just marks - there is no front or back to the filter until installed!!!!

So flip the filter once in a while and it cleans itself...

I wouldn't worry about ordering a new filter. It should last you the life of the car. On top of that, oiling too much is going to do nothing but foul up the MAF sensor. Clean it out well and oil it lightly. It won't ever "dry" completely. I remove mine, tap out the debris, use my water hose and spray it down, let it sit in the sun for a while, and then oil it lightly. Never had an issue with any of my oiled filters.

What unit do you have? The brand new one or the old one? You might want to either contact Vararam through PM's to either see what can be done or just put it up for sale in the classifieds. It'll sell fine. These new units work fine...no bucking...no surging...and REALLY make a difference. You can really feel the difference. Lotsa torque.

I just got off of the phone with Steve and then Patrick at Vararam. Very nice and helpful. If the product is like their customer service, then

My only question now is will it fit with the Elite catch can in it's designed location. Patrick believes it will have clearance, but gave some ideas if it doesn't.

I have the Elite Catch Can and it would not fit in the designed location. I simply installed it where the stock air box was with a clamp from lowes. I actually like it here more as it fills some of the void. Also very easy to get to.

sonofa... lol Do you have an L99 or LS3?

...nevermind I just looked and see you have the L99. Patrick said the L99 sits a little farther forward than the LS3. My fingers are crossed that is affords me the room to stay put.

Okay, I figured out my Dashhawk can log data and play it back without the use of a computer. Logged some LTFT's and they came in at -.8 to -2.3 although one snapshot was at -4.7, but most data log windows showed -0.8. I am very happy to say the least. I will continue to log to see if there are any changes.

Not too many people making 80hp with exhaust and intake. It's just not going to happen. Without being on the dyno its hard to jump to that conclusion. Its very common to run .5 faster and 5 mph faster in trap speed just because the weather is colder.

If you could make 80hp with exhaust and intake guys would be making 450- 460 rwhps with just those mods.

But he's definately running a lot better that's for sure. But I would bet he picked up 35-45 hp with his mods.

This is his mods. Vararam CAI, Kooks LT headers, HF Cats Edelbrock X pipe stock mufflers, SCT Tuner. From his stock run to his present run he is 8/10's faster in the 1/4. So he has much more than intake and exhaust, but I agree that time in the 1/4 can be different for a variety of reasons.
