3" Catback exhaust question

I'm getting ready to install a magnaflow 16483 catback system and I've read that the 3" systems have interference with the cross bracket. What I've been reading states that 1/2" spacers are required to lower the bracket down.
If this is true, what size are the bolts? I'd like to make some stainless steel spacers prior to the install.

Thanks!

When I installed mine, I had no problem with the cross brace. The exhaust actually will angle up a tad right before cross brace, which leaves a ton of space between the two. Good luck with the install.

You should have no issues at all with clearance.

I added a couple washers on the bolts to lower the crossbrace, just a tad. Probably wouldn't of had to.

ARH 3" Center section and Flowmaster Center sections have had problems.

Magnaflow fits perfect

My 3 inch catback hit my tunnel brace too. Thats why I made my own.

This is a common problem with 3 inch exhaust. You can either use washers and space the stock tunnel brace out or buy an aftermarket brace with more clearance. Either method will do the trick.

I have Kooks headers and Magnaflow street catback. Without several washers on the stock tunnel brace, the exhaust will make contact with it.

I'm putting BMR's tunnel brace on my car next week.
