I stand corrected. They're is competitive mode, but not the launch mode or track mode of the later 5th gens on a 2010. I don't mess with the double tap much. It's either traction off or all the nannies off for me. However, like I said earlier I get better launches out of only traction off with stabilitrak still enabled.

Ok sounds good. I was always confused as to what the stabilitrac competitive mode was and what its function is. As for mods and tune, I dont think I'm going to go the cam route anytime soon, I'm on a budget and bolt ons seem much easier/cheaper for now. How do you guys go about getting a tune? Can those guys like dyno Steve and Ted jannetty help me non-locally? I own an interface device and have all the Gds2 software already, wouldn't mind buying hp-tuners if I had to. My main concern is that I rely on my car as a daily driver so I dont want to do anything extreme like messing with torque management or anything else that might impair the cars longevity

Did your wheel/tire ratio change? That will throw off the accuracy of your MPH gauge unless you adjust for it with a tune.

Give Futral Motorsports a call. 877-784-3278. They're in Walker near Baton Rouge.

In my SS Sedan, they add one extra mode. When you double tap and put it in competitive mode, if the computer notices aggressive driving you will see on the DIC "Performance Shift Active". The shifts become more harsh along with holding gears longer and active rev match. Kinda cool...

Wheel/tire ratio is the same as stock, I made sure to get that right because I read it would cause problems if I didnt. They are much wider but same diameter.

And Kajun I'll definately give them a call, now that you mention them I remember a buddy of mine with a gto mentioning that name before.

Thank you guys for all the insight.

I'm a little skeptical do that though because I dont know a good trustworthy tuner in my area, and as I am an engineer for the Navy I tend to want to trust what the engineers did when they designed the car. Thanks for all the replies and advice.
My recommendation is find a Camaro Club in LA and see where they've gone. Word of mouth is the way to go for tuning. I'm sure there's a Louisiana Camaro Club or NOLA Camaro Club. Something like that.
