Hmmm, what kind of car wash soap do you use?

I wouldnt use a product like Armor all or Back to Black, they will disapear with the rain as others said, and they will run onto your paint in light rain and leave residue there.
The general concensis on this board is that waxing the flat rally stripes will leave the clouded blotching on the stripes after a few weeks. (this is not the case with mine, I have no wax on the stripes) But maybe if I wax them with Rejex (or any other wax) and do it every few weeks, the stripes will stay looking good? Will the wax eventually build up on the stripes and cause a problem? If so, how would you remove the wax build up on the stripes?

I agree most waxes will leave a haze over time, Rejex won't.

Dawn dish soap should remove any wax that is on there if somebody used something they shouldnt have.

I use Adam's Polishes products. I've been using the Buttery Wax and it gives the stripes a deep black. Personally I think they look better and better after every application.

Can you post some pics of your stripes? I'd like to see them. If you do Rejex, you won't have to apply it every few weeks. It seriously does last. I haven't used Zaino, but my understanding it works similar.

Since I have virtually the same car, here is mine

getting mine painted on. They are peeling and I made the mistake of waxing them and man was it hard getting that white look off of them. To much hassle. No way those decals are gonna last 5-6 years unless you garage the car and keep all the elements away

I have used turtle wax ice since the day I brought her home in june, and it makes the stripes look great. it is kind of a shiny matte finish if that makes any sense. I only tried the ice on the stripes the first time because I really didn't care if it ruined the stripes I was going to have them painted on anyway, but they look awesome waxed up with the ice..too each his own I guess

This was the first topic I looked at back in October when I joined. Wax on/Wax off... I waxed mine the first time with McGuires but haven't since. They look good. How much does it run to strip them off and have them painted?

Most body shops will strip off the vinyls for free. Depending on where you live, a good painted stripe with clear coat should run between $1000 and $1200. Well worth the investment and also allows you to go custom with your colors and effects.
