Rejuvenate Flat Black Rally Stripes?

My car is 5 months old. The flat black rally stripes have a white/grey blotching on them now. Can they be rubbed down with some type of cleaner to make them look original again? They look like they need some Armour-All applied to put "life" back in them, but not sure if that's a good idea.

No wax on them, but that's the way they look.

I'll have to keep an eye on mine, but I did coat my car in Rejex including the stripes right after I purchased it.

I believe yours was dealer installed stripes, and mine was factory installed. Not sure if that makes a difference or not though.

I accidently spilled a dab of polish on mine and now a white streak that won't go away. I'll try the silicone based cleaner to see if it works... Thanks.

go get them painted

Pull the shitty stickers off and get them painted on, never a problem with any of those types of problems with paint and clear coat.

Personally, I'd avoid Armor-All as well as Back to Black.

Armor-All will leave a greasy look/feel, and Back to Black (and Armor-All as well) will run off with the first washing/rain.

I've seen matt black strips on a new 5th Gen. Zainoed, and they look great.

Do you park in the sun a lot? Just wondering if they could possibly be fading. I've had my car 6 months, haven't applied anything to them, and haven't had a problem. I park under a carport and don't drive her much (only at 3000 miles now), so she doesn't see much sun. I would like to know if that's going to be an issue though. Keep me posted.

I prefer my "shitty stickers" to painted stripes. The matte black has a shimmer in the sun (see the pic in my album) that makes them unique, and the difference in the surfaces (ie: the shiny hood vs. the textured stripe) really makes them stand out more.

It's not in the sun anymore then any other average vehicle, in the pkg. lot at work M-F for 8 hrs, and lives in a heated garage at my house.

I applied Rejex wax to mine when I waxed my car two times and they look great. Not sure if it will restore them, but here is a link to some pics of my car, post. Its my daily driver so its subject to the typical conditions.

I wouldnt use a product like Armor all or Back to Black, they will disapear with the rain as others said, and they will run onto your paint in light rain and leave residue there.
