At first probably. Challengers where / are being overpriced at the moment.

There was some dealer putting $10,000 markup stickers on his SE's.

This guy told the dealer no and they sold it to him MSRP when he was gonna walk out (was on Challenger forum).

i guess that's why we should all buy from CamaroScotty if the local dealers threaten to mark it up. he has been good to us so we should just return the favor

It's better to get one in your home state for title and registration and even service. I have gotten much better service from dealers I have purchased from. Because you can always call up the sales mgr you closed with and bend a ear about why service blows. Make a big fuss in front of other customers.

Hey I am cold but I get my stuff fixed and don't tolerate shop foolishness.

Don't want to say something against Scotty he's the man to buy from if your in his area.

Thats what I was thinking.

A stripped BMW 135i is $36k. Loaded $50k

A stripped CTS is $35k. Loaded $50k.

At best it will be priced between the GT and SRT8.

But $40k for a LOADED SS/RS isn't out of the question IMO. IMO. IMO.

OPEN YOUR EYES.

YAH I HOPE A LOADED SS/RS IS $25K DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I went to the Dodge website and tried to build a comparable R/T challenger to see what it costs. I added the options below to the $29,995 base to come up to a reasonably loaded challenger.

6 speed manual trans/limited slip $995
20" chrome rims $1350
electronics package $1060
stereo upgrade (w/out nav) $535

Comes to about $36k

The mustang is a little harder to compare but I built one and came to about $33k, sort of similar to a mostly loaded camaro or challenger. Leather seats, decent stereo, electronic and appearance upgrades, 18" rims.

And here comes one more pointless guess, but I will do it anyway:

I think the base price is really key for advertising purposes, and seeing as how the SS comes with 20" painted rims, limited slip standard, and based on the prices I saw in the market survey, I think the camaro should be priced about like this:

Base auto 1SS $29495
manual trans/ls3 $995
2SS trim:leather seats, better stereo, wireless connectivity, and some more
$3000
RS: polished rims, hid lights: $1500 (on SS model)
Comes to about $35k almost fully loaded.

I am certainly hoping for lower but I think that would be reasonable. I don't think they can offer as stripped down a V8 version as Ford does with all the things they are saying standard but who knows.

Yeah I would agree except that if we all buy from CamaroScotty wouldn't it take a long time for all of us to get our Camaro's?

prolly except then gm would send more allotments to them based on how many orders they had placed there instead of at other dealerships so it would work out to probably the same amount of time. maybe a little longer but that little longer would be worth the wait for what he has done for us IMO.

Fortunately I have been saving for a few years and wont have any problems whatever the cost (unless its over 60K). But I have been figuring fully loaded RS/SS at around 40K to me sounds reasonable. I've been hoping for the camaro to come back out on the market and just glad it did. Hawaii always marks things up with high cost of shipment, da da da, but fortunately have Scotty for help.

Nope, wont happen. At least this generation, and if this is the last never will be 40k. 40k if you tell your dealer to make it that.

The GTO was 32-33K well loaded and the G8 is 33K as well loaded up. Pontiacs were usually a little more exp than Chevys so I doubt you'll see a loaded SS/RS at 40K. If the base is 28K (rumored) than I doubt it tops 35K with every option.

I think that is still a bit high... But reasonable.

Does "loaded" include a convertible top?
I was never really clear on that.....

I would think a vert is a different car and not classified as a loaded Camaro...IMO
