To the best of my memory, it's one part that keeps breaking, and costs him around $1100 every time. He'll spool up at the tree and when he let's the clutch out...bam.....just sits there!! I know of at least three different occasions this has happened to him.

When the car runs though, holy shit!! That thing is a beast!!

Oh yea no more than the thing weighs with that kinda power it's going to give some serious whiplash if it don't break!

That's pretty much it tho "I'll either blow you away, or I won't even move, either way will be funny"

I was looking for an attractive, sporty two door coupe to replace my gas guzzling 4X4 truck. I did not go with a Corvette again (I had a 1998 that I sort of just quit driving). I looked at the Mustang, Challenger, Camaro, G37, etc. I went with the Camaro for the following reasons in order of preference:

(1) gas mileage (Camaro was the best)
(2) styling (Camaro, Challenger, G37 are all beautiful)
(3) cost (Camaro gave more for the money)
(4) luxury (G37 is way more expensive)
(5) performance (304hp was just a bonus)

GF's brother just got himself a red 08 WRX... Nothing has been said about beating my car, us racing etc.. He's still learning how to drive stick from what I understand.. but, I've been in this situation before and it's usually ended up with GF's siblings wanting to out the BF in terms of who's car is "better" in a race... Usually started up by his friends, but I guess we'll see how it plays out. May never even come up.

WRX sedan 5-speed can do 0-60 in 4.7 and the 1/4 mile in 13.5 @ 102 mph, so he may get the jump on you and beat you to 60 mph, but beyond that you will really pull hard on him...

*edit-Wait we are talking about a V6 Camaro, and not an SS Camaro ?? In that case this is not even a comparison, the V6 has ZERO chance of winning.

OP was V6 yes... Looks like the thread was done and drifting (since it's about a year old) and I figured I'd just throw my comment in.. Mine's an SS, yes.

His is the 4door Sedan and everywhere I look it states 224HP and 226TQ

Look at my link, it says 265 horsepower right there(for the WRX sedan, which has the same specs as the hatch, no coupe has ever existed)... wait what year is his again ??

The 08 was 228 hp and I don't think you could beat it in a 1/4 mile drag race. I think you should have him covered on the highway though. I feel bad for everybody that bought the new body style of the 08 when it was new only to have Subaru increase the hp to 265 w/ the STI turbo, STI spoiler on the 5 door, standard ground effects, WRX logo's and red stitching on the seats and wheel, big suspension involvement. All the testers complained about the 08 and Subaru actually listened and made serious changes after only one model year.

I dont feel like searching but im pretty sure the 08's run to 60mph in 5 seconds and the 1/4 in 14.3

You talking to me or the OP? I have an SS and am not worried about beating a 14.3 1/4mi car on the track.

THE HATCH AND SEDAN ARE THE SAME, they have the same basic specs, the same performance, and all had the same upgrades for each year !! The only oddball is the STi, which the sedan version just came out for 2011 model year. Oh yeah, it's 224 hp not 228 as well.
