Sucks that you can't use yours until next year. I ordered mine before it was taken so I have BLU RSH on order.

My Plate

I too had a problem getting what I wanted. Tried several ideas and finally settled on this one.

so...if i order mine now, and my ones from when i bought my car (the form the dealership fills out) should be going through the system and on their way to me in the next 4-6 weeks or whatever...how does that work? do i have to wait to get mine before ordering customized ones? that's what i did before because my previous car already had plates when i ordered the personalized ones. then i transferred those to my last car and didn't transfer them to my camaro. i want something else for the camaro. i'd like to order them now, but don't know if i should wait for the other plates to come first.

Basically you order the plate. When it arrives, you have to take the car in that you want it put onto and that's when you register it with the car. I ordered mine at my AAA branch and they're going to hold it until I get my car.

Once I get my car, bring it in and take care of it then and there.

Stang_Killer, that's an evil looking camaro you have that. the plate works. I like the SSnstr idea also but I knew almost every one of them was going to be taken. Glad you found something that worked. =)

Thanks! Yeah this was the fourth different spelling I tried of Sinister and I had to have it spelled with SS somewhere to pay homage to my SS. Some of my first ideas that were already taken were StngKlr, Cbraetr, Iflubyu, 8Astang, Ponyklr & hedtrnr.

TripleB, I ordered mine and received a card in the mail letting me know they were in. I then took my registration, original plates and the card I received and they gave me my new plates and new registration. Easy..

I don't have my plates for my Camaro yet though. Should I go ahead and order now? Or wait until I get plates for the Camaro?

I'd order the plates now. They take 8-12 weeks to show up.

I ordered mine back in May when I got my car and I was seriously consideriing Sinister. I knew it would be a good one, but went with LS3SSRS.

When I bought the G8...they automatically sent me the dealer ones...but I hated how they looked on the car. So I went to "AAA" and did the paperwork there...for those who don't know...you can do most of the stuff you take care of at the DMV...AT AAA!!!!!! The whole process to order my plates took me about 10 minutes!!!!!!

So...when I FINALLY received my plates after 2.5 months...I had to take my old plates back to AAA and they issued me the new ones. They took care of the registration part there too.

That's what I did with my previous personalized plates. I'm just wondering if I should wait for the plates that the dealer fills the paperwork out for and then order my personalized ones, or if I should order the personalized ones now.

Just order the new ones. I bet the dealer ones will be there before the personalized plate.
