Take it to the dealer and have them check if this applies per the service items in the GMVIS. They spec'd tighter fitting leather on the seats so there will be a production date when they speak to the engineer.
Service Information

Subject: EI09313 - Engineering Information - Seat Material Warped, Wrinkled, Wavy, Bunching or Damaged

Models: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Attention: Proceed with this PI ONLY if the customer has commented about this concern AND the EI number is listed in GMVIS. If the customer has not commented about this condition or the EI does not show in GMVIS, disregard the PI and proceed with diagnostics found in published service information. THIS IS NOT A RECALL -- refer to Service Bulletin 04-00-89-053C for more details on the use of Engineering Information PIs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition
Important: If the customer did not bring their vehicle in for this concern, DO NOT proceed with this PI.

Some customers may comment that the appearance of their seat trim or upholstery is warped, wrinkled, wavy, bunching or damaged. This condition may occur on the front or rear seats and applies to both leather and cloth materials.

Cause
GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause of the seat material condition. Engineering has a need to gather information on vehicles that may exhibit this condition, PRIOR to repair. As a result, this information will be used to "root cause" the customer's concern and develop/validate a field fix

Instructions
If a vehicle is encountered with the above condition, please contact one of the engineers listed below.

Contact information
Engineer
Phone Number

If an engineer is unable to take your call, please leave the information listed below in a message.

• Technician name

• Dealer name and phone number

• Complete VIN and repair order (R.O.) number

On the repair order, document the date and time the call was placed.

If engineering is unable to return the call within one hour, proceed with diagnosis and repair based on information found in SI.

* This is a unique labor operation number for PI use only. It will not be published in the Labor Time Guide.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

So glad i found this thread. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and was preparing for a fight over my BADLY stretched and now creased seats. The driver is clearly worse but I'm sure the passenger side will look similar with enough use. Notice the bunched up portion at the forward part of the seat has now folded over and caused a crease. It must be caused by excessive bones protruding from my 170 lb. body.

I am more confident that I can get the dealer to respond now, hopefully with new leather. This started week 1 and I now have 5000 miles.

Here's my pics:

And the passenger side:

Mine is the same way. It's been like that since it was practically new. There might be a recall on that. See bulletin # 09312. This # is what is printed on something I got from the dealer when the service guy ran my vin#. I've been meaning to ask them about it.

talked to a dealer today.... said its not a recall.. but they are handling it on a case to case basis...

so i guess if your car has the problem, then it will get fixed?

just FYI...

The driver side bottom was loosened pretty bad I reached under and the u-clip that attaches the bottom seat cover to the frame was not even attached. Took it in and they attached it, its a plastic u-shaped piece that clips onto the metal frame underneath. This tighened things up alot.

Before this you could actually lift up the entire cushion, cover and everything.

UPDATE

car was serviced today....

tech said there is def a problem.

GM knows, for now the seats will not be replaced as GM has informed them not to fix them @ this time, they may use a different material as several gm models with leather seats have had this issue... this is not a recall, resolved on a car to car basis

Is it the leather.. or the seat cushion?
It looks more like the seat is losing support than the leather stretching.

7000 miles
350Lbs........<wide load>

No stretching problems as of yet but the beige leather has a bluish tint to it.

Bluejeans maybe?
