EPIC FAIL!!!!

And I thought the other commercials Chrysler has been making over the last year were bad. This is proof that no matter how bad things get at Chrysler, they will find ways to make it worse. A satirist couldn't come up with a better (or worse) cliche than this in an intentional parody.

Am I the only one who finds it VERY DISRESPECTFUL to depict George Washington driving a car on a Revolutionary War (yes, Revolutionary War for those of you who went to public school) battle field in a cheap ploy to try to sell cars around the Fourth of July? Is that what freedom means to you? If that is all the more seriously we take our Independence, our freedoms, our history, and country in general, then maybe the dire condition our country is in is all we deserve. Chrysler should hang its head in shame, and the rest of us should at the very least be deeply offended (and probably boycott the company until they apologize) that they would exploit for short term gain what should be a very important and much deeper subject to all of us.

To make it worse, it is an ad for a car built using government bailout money borrowed from the Chinese by a company, a significant stake of which is owned by a country we were at war with during the lifetimes of many still alive, assembled in Canada, and rolling into "battle" on a German chassis. (Perhaps it would have been more accurate to show the Hessians (look it up) arriving in them).

Can't think of anything more American than that (though that does seem to be the American way lately). If George Washington were still alive today, I guarantee you he wouldn't drive a Challenger...he'd kick our asses back to the 18th century.

Sorry for the rant, but it's been a long time since I've been this pissed about something, and I am disappointed that more people aren't angry too.
So what your saying is you really need to get laid Wow chill out its a commercial not someone declaring Jesus is just a guy building my deck. I thought it was great and I promise you most people do too. And not because of our lack of funding into the history program of our public schools but thats its just in good fun lifes too short enjoy it!

New Camaro Commercial

I think GM/Chevy really need to put some balls behind their camaro commercials. separate them from the rest of the lineup and make them badass americana. Check out this dodge challenger commercial... Camaro should have something like this. It's badass AND funny.

No need. Camaros sell themselves.

When there's a 30+ supply of Camaros in the pipeline, then the commercials will come.

Then it will be too late. GM needs to be PROactive not REactive. If it is not in the budget, it's not in the budget, but you got to keep interest. If they can afford to do it, they should do it.

If that was the Revolutionary War commercial....I couldn't disagree more. It was funny to me in a "wtf was that?" way...and totally lacking any information about the car (maybe 'cause there's not much to tell besides, she's a looker and she's loud).

I'd like to see a badass Camaro commercial...but something more along the lines of the Corvette's...nowhere NEAR the Challenger's.

True, the new Camaro doesn't need any TV commercials, but it would be cool to see some. That Challenger one is good, but the other one, that the spokesman says "really, really love cars" is pure genius!

I give the Challenger Marketing Team an "A". Very creative - I watched the commerical in it's entirety. I liked it..

Mustang has it's new commerical - did ya's notice they display the word "TRANSFORMED", now I wonder where in the world they came up with that specific word now?? Kinda reminded me of another car out there that isn't a Mustang. Hmmmmmm

I laughed and thought the commercial was funny, and still made the car look good.

I'm sure we'll see commercials for the Camaro soon, but I would think that any marketing would be positive.

Not....necessarily, but I see your point.

The thing to remember is, money isn't free, so they must spend wisely. While the Camaro is still flying off lots without incentives or much in the way of televised advertising -- why spend on a commercial? As sales dip over time, which they will -- it's part of the business, they'll introduce incentives, maybe a commercial or two...

But what I'm reading here is a bunch of enthusiasts -- OWNERS -- wanting to see their car on the tube so they can smile and laugh like little girls. You all have cars to do that in -- go drive them! Their arguments for audience exposure make sense....a year from now, maybe less...but not now.

Also...there are two, soon to be three movies on the big screen making big $$$ due to big attendance with the Camaro front and center (for enough of the time). Think that was cheap? What about the internet ads all over the place? Sites just like the car so much they host advertisements?

I agree that the Camaro does not need advertising however if they did decide to put out a commercial, nothing less than an ad on par with the "still building rockets" corvette ad will do.

That ad had me honestly thinking about trading in my Camaro.
