A lightweight Z28 wasn't really much more than wishful thinking from a minority of enthusiasts. I was part of that group and had a plan for a Z28 that might have came in around 3600 lbs. But most wanted a supercharged direct competitor to the GT500. That said, if it performs it performs.

My biggest reason for buying, if I have the money in two years, would be the suspension upgrade. If the Z is supposed to be all that and a bag of chips compared to current models, so long as the price is right, the suspension and bragging rights alone would be reason enough for me.

No shit. I LOVE the Camaro, I always have, but Gm seems to be getting lazy as far as engineering goes. But hey, at least we aren't as heavy as Mustangs, lol

Mustangs are lighter than Camaros ... Challengers are heavier.

The Mustang is lighter by a couple hundred pounds. The Chally is the heaviest.

I don't get you guys freakin out over this. It's a camaro w/a supercharger, which in stock trim will be slower than many cars on this forum. Buy an SS for 35k and for < 10k (turbos, super) you have a faster car.
