So just for fun i put my camaro in competition driving mode the other day while i was just doing some normal driving (im still breaking her in) and it seemed to make a huge difference. The car seemed a lot peppy-er and it seemed to just zip out of corners and the rear would just follow through in a lively fashion.

Am I insane? Doesn't competitive driving mode just make the ABS a little less agressive? there's no way the abs should be working when i take a turn at 10 mph right?

It does make the drive better and you don't get the lights and buzzers telling you that your all over the road.

It's not so much ABS as you would think of it normally. It is more an application of the brakes at opposite corners of yaw (if present) to bring the car back inline. That is a simplistic explanation. There's a lot more going on like timing being pulled etc as well.

What you are most likely feeling is not having timing advance being pulled with the traction control off (part of comp mode). I always run around with TC off. Even with the SC (which totally overcomes TC anyway!

) the car is much stronger and snappier...

What is the difference between "tc off" (one button push) and comp driving mode (two button pushes) and completely off (how do i do that? hold it down?)

hold it down for 5 to 7 seconds,that will turn everything off.

When traction control is off it doesn't bog down the motor when you floor it . Stabilty off it doesn't grab your brakes to keep the car straight. Hold it down takes both off and unlocks the beast. Warning from testing my self you can get into trouble pretty fast lol

TC off simply turns off the traction control. Comp mode allows for more rear end yaw (step out) before the nanny stuff gets involved and completely off is no nanny intervention at all.

You need to hold it down for like 7-8 secs.

So you guys are saying hold the button down for 5-8 seconds and this thing becomes an animal? I never tried it

Everything off every time I get into the car. That includes all of my past blown Vettes. Let your right foot be the guide.

I have heard the Comp Mode allows a max. of 18% rear tire spin. By theory, it should be just as quick off the line with Comp. mode vs. All-Off.

Lots more fun with it all-off.

It has been tested to be completely untrue in the Vettes as well as Camaros with a decent driver. All off wins every time.
