Competition Mode Question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey all,
Can someone tell me if you have to wait a certain amount of time to use this mode? I have only 400 miles on my car and I have put it in this mode but have still not had any hard take off (side stepping the clutch), I've just played with the switch. I'm sure I could find out in the manual but I prefer to ask all of you to get your opinions. I have seen in a earlier post that people are breaking the transmisions using this mode and I am concerned.

400 imo is too soon wait till 1200 and watch the homepage cause t6's have been questioned

book said 1500 miles i think. i behaved until about 1400 miles then sidestepped the clutch at 6000rpms and held her to the floor and no lift shifted thru 3rd....

i am yet to try Competition Mode..........but will soon. i'd wait for awhile if i were you.
