You didn't HAVE to bore the engine, you didn't HAVE to stroke it. You didn't HAVE....to...get.....700rwhp+? huh, now that I think about it... you really didn't have a choice did you? It's like crack.... you just can't stop, there is no choice, just HP and TQ.

I lost compression on number 4..burned ring. Ted cracked a piston #5. Both were due to heat produced from SC. Ted's looked to be way to lean..Possible cause was lack of fuel delivery. Tune on his injectors was set up for 45 lb injectors although he had 52 lb installed. Its always hard to say what caused a failure...Bottom line in my opinion is that the bottom end is fine for stock or very mild numbers but when you put more at it, then you need to upgrade bottome end. Notice the big companies like Lingenfelter change internals....with no choice to make sure they will hold up. So there is no bolt on power adder that should be done without addressing the internals in my opinion. Believe me when I say...I would have been fine with the 578 rwhp I had if the internals had held up. But since they did not why not do it right! lol

Ok the failures happen after you instaled the sc right? Just want to make sure it wasn't pre sc. I'm no where near the 500 rwhp so I won't be concerned.
