The New York Sun documented the existence of Santa on September 21, 1897. Assuming Santa does have the name trademarked, I am confident that IF there is a LSA powered Camaro Joel Ewanick and the other creative people at GM can do better than HP Edition. The name has to have the same power and punch as the car. I suggest

If the unicorn is not called 'Z28'....I may choose to buy an SS instead...that, of course, depends on how expensive a unicorn it is....

I think "HP Edition" may just be an internal designation so they can refer to the project that doesn't exist......I'm surprised they haven't chosen for sure yet, though.

I would still buy it if I planned to trade in my SS, but I'll be keeping it considering the work I've already done to it. It would be nice to have the MRS though.

Based on the "pure heritage and sentimental value" part of your post..... Would you buy the Z if it was not the monster we have been seeing but instead a competitor for the new Boss?


Just my opinion but the name Z/28 seems to be a better fit against the boss than the GT500.


All this means nothing though since there is no Z/28.......

We had a coversation about what age kids realize there is no fatman. A friend from work has twins. One knows and the other does not. The one that knows was under strict rules to not let the other one in on it. Of course I heard a discussion on the radio on this topic too. A guy called in and said he was in High School before he quit believing. Apparently his parets went to such extreme lengths that it was hard to not believe. His dad dressed up as Santa every year when they put the presents under the tree. He said every time he would sneak to take a peak there was Santa. His dad apparently also went on the roof to make Reindeer sounds, whatever those are.

For some reason I am picturing Santa's sleigh being pulled by a Unicorn instead of Reindeer.

I totally agree with Shno, the Z/28 should be he boss competitor. The monster that we expect to be start getting built on January 1st, 2012 could be called simply 500 killer for all I care. Why can't we have 2 more levels instead of 1? ZL/1 would be my first choice if slp wasn't using it

Absolutely. And I'd be thankful it didn't hurt my wallet quite as much, too... Still...I'm seriously concerned that this car might be the last big 'hurrah' for the 5th gen. There has never been generation without a Z28.

Of course, you're right. There is no Z28...so we're all just speculating.

But I've got a question for you, now...suppose this unicorn car handled just as well as the Boss, but had the power of the GT500 (I'm only drawing Mustang comparisons to guide the conversation...I don't consider the Ford a "benchmark")...could you justify the name?
