My vehicle has been at my local Chevy dealer this week to get the BMR Subframe bushings installed, LPE Dual pump installed, JRE Fuel Rail Upgrade, 85lb injectors, AFE Wideband guage, Boost guage, Guage Pillar Pod, Strut Tower, Safety Loop & Alignment. The shop would have been done yesterday, but a tornado hit close by the shop and knocked the shops power out all day. The shop only substained minor damage, so they should be completed with my vehicle on Monday. I can't wait to get it back... Between the work I did on the vehicle and the work being completed by the shop, I have not driven my vehicle for 2 weeks now and I am having withdrawls.

Nice. I got my 1400HP axles installed today.
There's a local shop in Mt. Juliet that does killer work. I rented some rack space and the owner helped me install the axles. This dude is a mechanical genius and is totally OCD about the work. I highly recommend them. He taught me a few things and the axle install was a piece of cake. Took us about 2.5 hours start to finish. www.agentautomotive.com |

By the way what did they charge for the rack space?

I think it depends on the job. He basically charged as if he were installing the axles, but let me get in there and work on the install with him. I'm a do it myself kinda guy, but didn't wanna do this one on jack stands so it was good value for money.
My clutch will be upgraded next. I'm surprised you guys will run sticky tires with stock axles. The Challenger axles break on the manual cars as soon as you throw horse power and drag radials at the car. |

I am not going to run slicks on mine. I will run good street tires for now and I will be upgrading to Toyo or Bridgestone Potenza's that will have good traction and last longer that the Perilli's that are pretty much down to the wear indicators at 9600 miles. I also believe that Jannetty Racing is running slicks with the stock axles, but he eliminated the wheelhop which is the primary source that causes the axles to break.

You'll be disappointed with street tires. I'm at 550RWHP and I tried to run on my Nitto Invos at 28psi.
I had to completely avoid boost in 1st and 2nd and could only manage a 12.8 ET. Trap speed was about 118MPH though which is good for mid 11s. My buddy with an identical build slapped drag radials on his car and ran 11.8. |

As much as I hate to say it. I don't like the Challenger. I have always been a Camaro man but I think they did a great job on the Challenger and even the 2011 Mustang is nice. I think it would be good for us all together sometime.

Hey Dave... I can't wait to get it back either. I went by Freeland Chevrolet after the tornadoes hit around that area earlier Friday morning and it knocked all their power all day. If all goes well they should have it done by Monday or Tuesday at the very latest. As soon as I get it back we all definitley need to meet-up for lunch or something. I know my daughter will be glad as well so I will quit repoing her car when mine is getting mods done. I tell her it's an instant repo program and she hates it...

I was out in Smynra today. I need to get your number again so if I'm out in my car I can give you a ring. We got to get some guys together when it gets nice out. I like to see what other people have done and swap ideas. I found the trick about dyeing the stitching and did mine in red last week and I think it looks good. Not bad for 2 hours and $3.00.
