Paint Quality
Has anyone noticed the paint on the Camaros is easily stratched? I have several stratches from people simply brushing against the car. Any suggestions for a quick fix?

best thing I found to do is take a day off every 6 months, go over the car and sand or polish out what scratches I find, then use the Adams method of clay barring, polishing, then wax. Takes an entire day, but the results are well worth it, plus it protects the paint..Cars are gonna get dinged and scratched unless you keep it under a cover year round or something. Just follow Junkman's advice and videos at Adam's forums. That man is a genius...

I don't think it matters what kind of car it is...if you touch the finish, you get scratches. Not a whole lot a person can do other than keep it parked away from everyone and everything.
I never noticed scratches in my cars until I got my Camaro. Now I see every new scratch no matter how extreme it is or isn't. Mind you, I never had a car before that was worth caring if it had a scratch in it. Also, the darker the car, the more we're going to see. I went from a black 2LT/RS to a SIM 2SS/RS. Easier to maintain the appearance and don't notice scratches as much. |

+1 on using Adam's polishes.
I the scratches are small, just use some Adam's Revive Polish on them, then wax. If that doesn't get them, then some Adam's Swirl and Haze Remover. If you have a Porter Cable polisher, it makes the job a lot easier. I tell people when they get near my car to not touch the paint or glass.

I would honestly see about 3M. Touch up the chips if they aren't too bad first, then have them protect the area with 3M. They will even advise you as to what spots should be protected. Well worth the investment IMO.
