This place is full of FANATICS, with the proper respect for those who are not.
I won't back up Mac but If you pay for something you have the full right to complain about it, it wasn't free. Vararam has the best warranty ever, so cool, let me know if you will take my intake back from 45580. I live in a country with a 16% import tax + shipping = I paid 584usd for what is pictured in post 42. Spent a good hour deburing the discharge tube and the maf housing, on something that COULD have been perfect, the finish on OP and my vararam is nothing more than lazyness from the guy doing it, if you had the minimum care to do it, it would be a lot better. I can be an astronaut, yet so I'm so busy I can't build my own shuttler, but let me tell ya, if I had the time, I would have done it and post about it and how low my dyno numbers are. you all can have fun saying how I missed the opportunity to test the allmighty vararam.

There are improvements that can be made to the design and fit and finish but you can't argue with the results.
See my sig for questions. Their effort is in the thermodynamic engineering required to get an intake like to work properly with the maf sensor. Your unit looks a little sloppy compared to mine, but mine wasn't perfectly perfect either. Ken

He's arguing how terrible the finish is on the specific unit he received. Somebody somewhere, sat there, finished working on that unit, looked at it and went "Bah, good enough". Dropped it in the box and shipped it out. If this is how their Q&A is handled, somebody needs to be fired. I was actually looking into buying one but I've seen a few posts by people who received units similar to the OP's... makes you wonder how reliable their product it to begin with. Definatly doesn't make me feel confident about buying it, that's for sure. |

I have to say that i really love my Vararam ... though i did have to spend about 2 hours fixing some of the problems in fabrication that were brought up on this post. I couldnt stop thinking about the amount of money i spent on the thing while i fixed what should have come to me in better shape.

![]() exactly. If this is the pride whomever has in their work, they should be fired. We pay way too much money to get something that has to be finished and Vararam should be made aware of it. There is no argument that the intake makes the most power, but no need to be arrogant about it. That's kind of the way I take it. I know that Vararam sales came on here and said his peace...but I really wonder how far that will go? Will the quality control improve? I understand there is a 100% money back guarantee, but what about the customers sheer inconvenience? It's just a headache having to go after the guy at Vararam that was supposed to do a job he's paid to do, but halfasses it. I'm sorry guys, everytime I come back to this thread I get fired up because I think about the crap I had to go through the day I bought mine. Just frustrates me. I'm done lol

Yes, there is no defending the pics the OP posted. That is just amazing that it was sent out like that. I do hope they figure out who is responsible for some of these intakes looking like that and at the very least issue him a warning that it better not happen again.

Maybe the person responsible for sending out intakes like the OP's is a mole from another cai company .

Now thats funny ![]() Patrick from Vararam called me Yesterday and told me he would do whatever I wanted to do, wether it send me out a replacement of refund my money. He seemed like a very nice person. He thinks that my intake may have been trimmed to short or to long where the air scoop is mounted which is causing the excessive force needed to install the mounting screws. Mac |

I understood your frustrationIt's good that you got to speak with Patrick. I've talked to both Patrick and Steve and both were pleasant to deal with. I'd be will to bet if they were to send you another, it would be perfect. But I also understand if you decided to bail. The good news is you could let them send you another and if it wasn't to your liking, send it back for the refund. Since I've been there, I'd hate to see you go another route.

End users don't care about the technicality of warranty - especially when it puts you out and you spent the money. The shop you ordered from should take care of it for you, and then they should also rain hell down on Vararam for poor production. I couldn't help reading this thread without shaking my head with a scoff while thinking "Speed shop guys". ugh. As for my intake? I sure as heck hope that QC was done on my unit before I receive it in the next couple of weeks.
