Why is this car so darn slow??
So I wonder why my camaro is so dang slow,
It is a 2010 A6 SS with k&n cold air intakes, with a diablo tune, and resonators delete. DoD off. I have one subwoofer in the trunk. Stock tires. My 0-60 times are usually around 6.5 seconds. I have managed to take it up to 156mph. I was beat by a challenger just the other day. It pained me! I have pulled the fuse 5 and 20 a few times now. I only used 93 octane from shell, exon and/or chevron. I am starting to hate this car. But I just love it too much. Please help me. |

Take it to a dyno and see what you are actually putting out. Then you can compare and see if there is a serious power problem.

I'll be doing that this Friday. Trying to get it dyno tuned. What would I do if there is serious power loss. Still have 20,000 miles on it.

I'm guessing it was the hot humid air that's killing performance. As far as the challenger beating you, they may have had some extra goodies under the hood that you don't know about.

Okay, after reading all this-- I still have hope. I really hope spending $400 for the dyne this weekend will be worth it.

An L99 SS is not a slow car, and btw, what were you doing driving 156mph? You were on a track, right?
This post leaves too much in question. How are you measuring your 0-60 time? What are the atmospheric conditions? Road surface? How are you launching? What's the elevation? What's the condition of your tires? |
