Yes it's got a blower cam. No longer has DOD. Tranny has a TQ convertor. He suspects there is to much displacement for the E-force. The faster you have to turn the blower, the more crank HP it will consume and higher IAT. He can't make much more boost anymore.

Plus you got to remember, here in Cali we only can get 91 octane at the local pumps and have to have Cats. It's strict here.

Hmm, seems like there's lots of conclusions to the original question:

Guess the 2.9 is bigger than a 2.3 and somehow makes more hp

Whipple waited an extra year and it looks like they improved a few things like fuel issues and IAT.

Those with the Eforce are very defensive of them. Maybe cause they have been driving theirs for more than a year. (and love them)

No matter what you have, the people with the other ones are either idiots, nerds, moms, squares or illiterate.

Do you really think we're going to convince someone they spent $7,000 + and made a mistake? Let's hope not.

Both these put out a ton of hp and torque, let's hope our engines all hold up so we can enjoy them.

Not necessarily, more than a mouth and a handful is a waste... I had a semi one night stand with a girl who had like EE or EEE(cant remember the exact number of E's it was so long ago)... DAMN!!! Way too much of a good thing LMAO.

I was sold on the Edelbrock, because I love Edelbrock products, some of the best in the industry, I had an Edelbrock quadra jet in my Blazer WOW!!. Anyway I am leaning towards the Edelbrock too because it is CARB legal. I hate California... But I really want to get close to 700hp or more... Edelbrock won't get me there.

EDIT: It appears Whipple and Magnacharger have CARB legal set ups too. COOL!

Also Inferno LS3, in CA you have to have the factory CATS to be CARB legal... BS... unless you can find a shop to overlook that.

The factory location cats to pass a visual inspection in Cali. You HAVE to have cats on the car or it's a felony. You can find a shop to overlook it or reinstall the factory exhaust manifolds and mid pipes with the cats.
Since this thread is about E-force vs Whipple, what are the E-force guys on this thread making to the wheels? Also what are their track times if they have any?

my two cents

These comparison threads are not very helpful without parameters by which to compare the different products. The Whipple, E-Force, Maggie, KB, or any others roots or twin screw is going to make power, be enjoyable to drive, and be as reliable as the weakest link in the motor if tuned/installed properly. It seems to me saying blower X is so much better than blower Y is akin to saying that anyone buying a V6 is an idiot; I might agree with that statement, but it does not make it true. So, what are we comparing on the blowers? IAT's? Looks? Fun factor? Ease of install? User's ability to shout the loudest?

Sorry, for the soapbox rant, but it just seems that these threads always turn into a peepee measuring contest. Carry on

this makes sense...simple math more volume to fill need more blower to fill it.
