I would have the controller set to work anytime the engine is running. And yes you will get a bigger benefit with a tune. ![]()

I love being able to adjust the Snow controller.I also have the dual nozzle setup on mine as well. You can basically control anything you want with the Snow unit and it has fail safe features if your pump goes out or fluid level gets too low. Snow Performance is a proven product.

Is there a Official word from Magnuson about the effects of Meth Injection on their blowers? I was thinking about picking up a meth system for added saftey, but my car is a daily driver and I don't want negative effects from long term use.

To ensure the longevity of your supercharger and not void your warranty, we do not recommend spraying Methanol through the supercharger. The coating on the rotors was not designed to encounter any "fuel" and exposure to such can cause premature wear to the internal components.

![]() I have hit the "wet stuff" in every FI car I have owned. Aquamist makes great systems if you want an alternative... It does take proper tuning of the EGT temps to determine the proper amount of H2O to inject but there is a ton of info out there and the Aquamist nozzles are graduated and easy to change out as you dial things in...

I'm not sure what the difference between the Vette and the Camaro world are, but my 07 S/C Vette had a meth kit tuned for power and safety. We relocated the IAT sensor right in front of the TB and sprayed the meth before the sensor. If the meth did not work the IAT's would be higher and the computer would not give the car all the timing it would usually get with the lower IAT. I'm not sure what that number was but Dallas Performance had it figured out.

According to Vengeance...Whipple has no issues with Meth on their setups. I really doubt anyone would have an issue with Meth on a Maggie....it sounds like the typical CYA type disclaimer rather than anything they've tested.

They can all be sprayed but I am guessing this is just another way for companies to get out of a warranty issue. Im guessing no one will ever see the effects of spraying meth in their blowers unless they are keeping them for a lifetime. Its not like if you spray meth into a blower its going to just eat the rotors away immedately. It would be nice for the companies to make their rotors with a coating so they could actually say you can spray meth as this would eliminate all the questions and fears and more sales I would think.

I made 795rwhp with a 9:1 331ci motor (Mustang) with a YSI and 25lbs of boost on 91 octane and a Snows water/meth kit. My Vette made 565rwhp (A6 car) with a stock LS2 Vortech V2 at 11lbs, 91 octane and a AIS Meth kit with 100% meth. Last edited by chevpwr; 08-23-2011 at 11:30 PM. |

I guess the confusion is that if your car is tuned to be reliable on the meth and something goes wrong with the meth system or you run dry, your motor goes pop. If you tune your car to benefit from the meth for cooling while getting a little extra power than it is not completely dependent on the meth for the octane. I can turn my system on or off and it doesnt matter but it is much safer to have it on while in boost for the motor. I could get alot more power if I really tweaked the tune for the meth but this just isnt the smart way to run meth UNLESS you are strictly running competetively and are tuning for MAX performance.
