Yea I don't think this is an April's Fools joke. All that changed was destination charge and IOM. Now if the MSRP of all trims went up a couple grand then I would throw up the BS flag.

Ok, I understand why Red Jewel is a premium color. The extra layer of tinted clear coat.

But what's the deal with Inferno Orange Metallic? Is there anything special to the paint process?

We do not yet know what the price increase is because it has not been posted.

Maybe a couple grand, but I doubt it.
Besides, who cares? We all have price protection.

Yes, he did.
Screenshots of pricing as of today.
Price increase is not effective until April 9th.

This is not rocket science folks.

I think RJT and IOM are the only two paints that use a special clearcoat. RJT has the "jewel tint" clear and IOM has some sort of pearl.

Has anyone noticed that there is no white stripes on the "build it" on the chevy.com website?

Look at that pricing sheet, the order code for the Hurst STS is "KAE". The previous LPO code was "VYV", I wonder if this is the new RPO code for the factory-installed shifter???

So the way I read this memo: Say for example if your car is built May 1st the invoice and sticker will be at the price on May 1st even if you ordered Oct 30, 2008. Then the dealer gets the credit for the difference back onto their open account. How many dealers will try to get the posted MSRP price for the car and not pass on the credit? God its another can o' worms if the sticker does not match the pre-order price. Did I read that section right?

No. R6P cars are price protected.

Can you explain what an R6P car is?

I ordered on 2/9/09. I ordered IOM...am I safe with the lower price or will I be charged for the "extra?"
