It was raining yesterday, so I didn't go. Drag radials don't play well on wet roads.

The guys who went said it was great and they learned a lot. They said a lot of the cars got sideways.

Thanks Steeler and Darth Emma...so no electronics issues when reconnecting the battery in the spring? A service manager at the dealer expressed some concern about that if the battery was pulled.

Off Topic.....for those that dont know there is a 30 year story involving me and Studio 54 in the city.
Its open for "One more night at 54" on Oct 18.....I tried calliing into the contest, gave my info, talked a little with the fellow on the phone while waiting to get on air but accidentally lost the call while waiting to participate.

Blew my chance...re-dialed for 3 hours but not even close.

Last night (Monday) my phone rang...it was Sirius XM, they called me?
Yeah... to say I was on the VIP list for "One more night at Studio 54".
If the gentleman on the phone had a hand in this --- I THANK YOU!

This night will close a door on an open chapter in my life that has spanned almost 30 years.

PhantomSS, I have never met you, yet, but am curious as to your story.

As far as winter storage, as I have a large barn, I have multiple things that get stored for the winter. The two items that are not mine, I request the battery be unhooked if not removed. My boat has a master disconnect switch, I turn that off but make sure the battery is fully charged so it does not freeze seeing as it is not climate controlled. My wife's Monte Carlo gets the battery charged and disconnected. The owner of the camper puts out de-con in the camper outer compartments and dryer sheets inside it. My wife and I put multiple dryer sheets in the trunk, passenger area, in the engine compartment, and on the floor under the car. Dryer sheets are not a cure all and are not 100% deterent, but smell better than moth balls. The floor is wood so plastic is not needed.

Sorry for the long post, and for the fact my barn is officially full now that I have the Camaro.

you can keep the battery in the car and put a battery tender jr. on it. It will keep it trickle charged all winter and won't over charge it.

I don't pull the battery. I connect the battery tender to the + terminal and a ground post under the hood.
