I'm going to order an IBM 2SS, how does this combo sound....

IBM, CGM Rally stripes, RS Midnight Silver Wheels, Gray Interior.


Anyone think the different silvers/grays will clash too much, maybe should go with the Black interior? Leaning toward the Gray interior to reduce interior temps out in the sun and lessen the black cave type feeling.

I thought the RS MS wheels looked a bit dark on my car. I have custom painted AR Torque Thrust M's that are gray but lighter than the stock gray AR wheels. If I had it to do over again I would have gone with the polished wheels just to brighten the wheel/tire area.... the CGM rally stripes will look good... stick with the gray interior, I have beige and see no clash....

Good point. I have RS MS wheels on my '10 IOM now, and I really like them. But maybe on the darker IBM the polished wheels would look better.

Just the opposite here LOL We all have different tastes. Didn't want the chrome or polished look(but would not have passed the car up either if it had polished wheels option) Like the MS RS wheels silver stripes. Have seen an IBM with chrome and polished wheels and it looks sharp. Originally wanted and tried to get gray interior. Just couldn't find it around with a manual Hurst back earlier in the year on a '11. Have grown to really love the black interior(with the silver panels/ambient lighting) and does not nearly show dirt as much as gray interior cars have owned in the past. Buy what you like It will look sharp no matter what you choose with IBM

Not opposite just different and a good different cause I don't want my car looking like every other IBM car out there... here are a couple of pics of my car the day it was delivered to the dealer. Yes a cloudy day and the pics are iPhone quality but this is where I'm thinking they look a touch dark on the IBM... oh and as for the rain, only time my car will ever see it and I spent two weeks cleaning every nook and cranny on the car...

I have that exact same combination and don't regret choosing it for a minute. I like the gray interior for the exact same reasons you do, and I like the subtleness of the CGM stripes, but they do pop in the sunlight.

So those are the RS MS wheels? Looks good. I have a hard time in pics telling the different wheels apart.

Lucky SOB! I was supposed to run Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, and some of Moonshiner 28 over the weekend. Unfortunately, a family situation prevented me from going. Oh well, maybe next month if the weather stays good. Did you have fun?

Oh yeah, and

It was an outstanding ride. Definitely recommended. We didn't have time to try the Moonshiner or Cherohala, but they sound fun as well. Let me know if you do plan on going next month. I may drive along
