Here you go. These are dual halos - which is why only every other LED is lit

You may be getting confused between dual color vs single color rings rather than the factory ring vs no factory ring.

You can see individual LEDs on the dual color rings but you do not notice them on the single color rings. The factory halo simply softens the light and makes it slightly less bright.
Gotcha. Makes sense why you can see leds more on dual color. Thanks for the clarity. I ordered the dual 2.0's. I think I'll just take out the factory halo instead of cutting it.

i did mine in about 8 hrs Fogs and headlights. OVEN is key and i chose to leave the factory tube however i cut the wiring out and soldered it to the new halos, thus i have a factory connections no splicing needed Fogs however are spliced into the running lights.

Pics.... ( i have my emblems back from paint just not on in this pic )

How was the wiring part of the whole job? Where did you guys put the control box. The 2.0 colorshifts now come with the upgraded control box that lets you see the colors of the halos outside. So that should prob. get mounted inside somewhere? Anyone have pictures or pointers on wiring? I should get mine in mail next week because the fogs are on backorder.

I think a good tip would be to tap into your parking light wire to power the box. That way your halos come on like normal with the rest of your parking lights. I believe it's a light blue wire in the cluster by your pedals. The box should have an internal memory as well so it'll remember what color you were on last. Also don't forget you can sync the wireless controller to the three garage door buttons by your dome light. So instead of looking for your controller, you can just press those. You can program them to control three separate functions.

GE Exterior Grade Clear Silicon:

It's cheaper when you buy it by the case too. Just in case you need an extra couple dozen tubes for random housework. LOL

Best luck and let us know how they turn out!

I know how to wire controll box. The video demonstrates that well. I was just wondering about what happens from the halo to the control box. Are the wires just connected from the halo through the firewall to the control box? If that is the case I was wondering what happens in the case where u may need to take out the light. Then the wires that are run through the firewall to the control box will have to be dissconnected to pull back through firewall, unless there is some kind of quick dissconnect between wires?
