You can get snap connectors for the wire(s).

Then the wires that are run through the firewall to the control box will have to be dissconnected to pull back through firewall, unless there is some kind of quick dissconnect between wires?
I'm pretty sure that my spouse (msltech) put up a bit of instruction on how he did ours. We have connectors.

Thanks for the info. Kinda gives me idea at least. I think I'm making this wiring thing out to be too complicated. Just as I was feeling confident about cutting open the lights and putting in the Halos, now i'm feeling frustrated over the wiring. :mad0 259:

I believe it's a light blue wire in the cluster by your pedals. The box should have an internal memory as well so it'll remember what color you were on last. Also don't forget you can sync the wireless controller to the three garage door buttons by your dome light. So instead of looking for your controller, you can just press those. You can program them to control three separate functions.
Are you sure it's the light blue wire? If i just T-tap that wire and run that to the power on the box , the halos will just come on automatically like normal or I can turn them on manually too right? Do you have picture of wires?

Sorry I don't have any pictures. I was actually told about the light blue wire by an AAC tech. It's supposed to be the power wire for all your parking lights so, if tapped into for power, your box will turn on along with your parking lights. It would only be powered with the parking lights though and not come on by itself manually. Youd be able to turn then on/off manually only when your parking lights are on. If you want it just controlled by your remote then you'd have to just connect it directly to the battery. Hope that all makes sense.

I already have power and ground wired into the interior of the vehicle and it also has a switch on it because I was using it for the footwell lighting. I may just run the box off of the switch instead. I understand that I would have to have the switch on for the Halos to work. Would that make sense?

It would make sense, but if youre gonna use that and it's got constant power to the switch, you'd have to always manually turn on the switch for the halos to come on and remember to turn them off when leaving the car or they'll stay on.

No you don't need to install projectors. They'll mount inside regardless. Maybe this will help, hopefully the link works:

Can't you turn them on and off with the wireless remote? Lets say I left the switch on and then used the remote to turn them off is that possible or will that drain the battery?

Yea you can leave the switch on and use the remote to turn them on/off. I'm just saying, if you start your car, your halos won't come on automatically. You'd have to turn them on yourself and then remember to turn them off when leaving the car. Since they'll be connected straight to your battery, they'll stay on with your car off. I mean, the LEDs draw so little power they you could probably leave them on all night and be fine though.
