*snore* *snore* *yawn* oh sorry i feel asleep looking at that boring interior^

below is not Directed towards you ok

Seriously are people more concerned with Fine materials in the interior than the actual car

Tell me when will You ever touch the dash and the hard plastic? materials?? let me answer your Question... NOT MUCH!. You might touch it when you clean it or when you place something on the Dash.

A lot of people lately have been saying the Plastic interior was a MAJOR turnoff

at most the Interior is a Minor inconvenience.

personally I could Care LESS about the materials on my dashboard or plastic in my camaro

While this isn't the best pic, It kind of shows you how cool this interior is at night. Everyone I give rides to at night loves the look of the interior; the gauges, the dash, and the ambient lighting.

Agreed. It looks bland and uninspired. Just a vertical, flat panel with no countour or design at all to it. And look at the joints in the bottom right corner... what's with all those gaps? They don't even look even.

And that's the first picture of the nav unit interface that I've seen. What crap. It already looks outdated. Imagine in 5 years what that "high tech" gadget will look like. Technology changes WAY too fast to have something like that frozen in time.

Once again you guys need to step out of your Camaro enthusiast mode and realize that MANY people do care probably more about interior and the whole package than just engine and HP. Once you leave the die hards the everyone else puts all these things in a box and makes a decision for themselves.

I care greatly about the interior. The ONLY thing I don't like about the 2XX interior is the blandness of the passenger dash. If nav was standard on the 2SS, even for the same price, I would be pissed. Unless you plan on trading your car in a few years from now, you'll be glad you don't have antiquated crap stuck in your car.

I understand what you're saying, everyone is different.

I think the dash in the Camaro, in person, looks better and softer than in the 2010 Mustang. I've seen them both now. The Mustang FEELS softer but I've never hugged my dashboard.

I agree...and the interior is the Camaro's weak link in an otherwise flawless "package". It should do well in the marketplace.

I also understand what your saying but those "feels" do a lot to the GP in the perception of a vehicle. Hard will always connote cheapness in the GP's mind and soft doesn't no other way around it. the fit finish could be impeccable but if two cars of equal fit and finish are next to each other and you put a person of the GP in both and one has soft and the other has hard the soft wil win the perception game always

Software can only do so much. And how often do they actually update these nav units? How much does it cost to get an update? And are they actually updating the software or just the maps?

I'll give you guys that. If I had to choose the weak'est' part I guess I'd have to say it was the interior. But not because of quality.

Newer ones update the whole software, the maps are usually an extra charge. Some of the software updates are free some they charge depending on manufacture/ auto maker

agreed.
interior is REALLY important to me.
and i am just about completely satisfied.
if they could add navy, and make it look good, id be okay with it.
but, i have yet to see that done in a sports car.
in a CTS the navy is really cool.
in other luxury cars and SUV its a good feature.
this is a pony car.

I guess I can't argue with that.

But it doesn't bother me personally.

The GP will be lucky to get close enough to mine.
