If it is a law as it is here in Texas, does the dealership automatically put them on? Or is this up to the dealership or salesman. You know how that goes you tell them to not install it then they forget to tell someone and it gets installed. I would not be happy if that happened to me!

I said something about this when I ordered my Camaro last week and my dealer just smiled and said they'll leave it in the trunk and I'll have to install it if I want it on there. All I'll be leaving the dealership with anyhow is a temp tag on the back so they have no reason to install the bracket on the front for delivery.

However, just to make sure, I will have my dealer call me ASAP when the truck arrives so I can be there while they do the PDI.

Sounds good thats what Im gonna do. Not to change the subject but did they give you any kind of ETA of when you might see your Camaro, I will be ordering soon as well.

I didn't even bother asking. I order number 30-something out of 66 in their initial allocation and they haven't had any delivered yet so I figured I'll be waiting until sometime this summer, which is fine with me since I'm not in a hurry to get mine.

I wouldn't do that. My brother put his front plate in the windshield after he installed a body kit on his car and was still ticketed. Had he not have it in the windshield they probably wouldn't have even noticed it.

I have mine in my lower passenger side windshield and I pass state troopers almost everyday going back and forth to work and I have never had a problem...I will have had my truck 2 years in August...

PS: As I leave to go to the 'rents house tonight...I will probably get pulled over and ticketed

PSS: Awhile back I think I remember the corvette guys petitioning to do away with the front plate here in Tx... guess that never panned out.

From my understanding, the police (but not all), have an understanding with the corvettes. My dealer told me they don't worry about them, because they know how horrible it would make the car look. Hoping the Camaro has the same effect on them

Unfortunetly here in MA it is a requirement to have two plates unless you're lucky enough to have the old green plate. By law the MV should not pass the required annual state inspection if it does not display both plates.

I saw a flip down video on youtub, but it wasn't on a Camaro. Just google JamesBond License plate and several come up. I'm looking for a good one for my SS/RS too. I have a Zo6 and I finally put the plate on after 16 warnings. Texas went to a automated warning ticket system and I got 4 before I talked to a DPS Trooper and he told me they can tell how many warnings you have. So some one get in your Garage and build a bracket and make it flip and you will sell at least 1 or 2
