New York State front plates
I know in NY it is necessary to have a front license plate. I know this because in my 1995 Corvette state trooper pulled my dad over because he had the cover over it. Is there any pictures of the car with front plates on? Or are they allowing it in NYS without them?

From NY too and not using a front tag... I drove my Firebird with no front tag for years with no hassle. Not saying I couldn't have been lucky. It's also a good reason for a cop just to pull you over to check you out. I also have a couple friends with Vettes who have had no problem. My dealer also agreed with me that the cops arent too bad on that. I think it can also depend on what area you're in. But thats just me and I'm willing to take the chance and pay the fine. I think most cops will see what you're driving and not bother you. And if they do they just might want to check out your ride. Cops are regular guys too!

Same here, it just depends on how local police chose to ignore it or not. I had a friend who was pulled over and asked about his front plate. He carried the front plate under the front seat so when the trooper asked about it he told him he broke the front plate holder and was waiting for the replacement to come in and showed him the front plate complete with a "broken plate holder." The trooper just told him to replace when he could, worth a try.
