He must have set the throttle way too high before he got out to prop it, otherwise it would not have been able to get off the ground at idle. Nope, that warnt me. My only good story is that on my second solo, I smelled something burning. At one point I thought I saw just a tiny curl of smoke coming from the avionics somewhere. Then my radio went completely out. I was outside controlled airspace, so I went around the airport I had come from and landed at a little country airport that I knew about.

I love flying, no worries here! It's safer than driving, especially in the rain!
We arrive in Orlando shortly after 5pm. I might hit you up for a drive to a grocery store so we don't have to pay Disney resort prices for groceries

Windy and cold, not raining at the moment, but snow is in the forecast for Thursday. Good thing we'll still be in Florida!

High 80's and sunny here in Arkansas. And the bugs are horrendous. Drove to Little Rock and back yesterday and had a spotless vehicle upon departure. Got home and could barely see out of the windshield. Right at dusk the bugs sounded like rain hitting us.

Good morning all. Have a safe flight LBM. HRSally - we had bad wind last night - now we have a rain/snow mix coming down. But it's supposed to get nice during the week.

Watched a PBS thing about Marilyn Monroe last night, so I thought this pic was appropriate today -

I was hoping for something like that, but everybody pretty much scattered to the four winds after it was over. But we were able to entertain ourselves. We hung out with some friends that we had in the area.

My guess is that it is an Anole. I had one as a kid. They used to sell them by mail-order from ads in the back of Boys Life as "Chameleons".

Ding ding we have a winner. Yeah they are very common here.They are great for bugs and the cats love to chase them out in the pool cage. They will drop their tail off and it will continue to move keeping the cat occupied as the lizard escapes. They are also great at playing dead and end up in the house For something a bit bigger. He/She was out sunbathing behind the house yesterday.
