When I was in high school I worked at a small local airport doing everything from fueling the planes to cleaning the bathrooms - so I could earn flight time. Used to have to spin the prop on a taildragger or two to start the engine (No battery operated starter motor on those).

There is a story about a guy who handpropped his own plane and before he could jump in, it jumped the chocks and flew for like 30 miles before crashing. Was it you? j/k

Took Ladybug out in the rain today to meet up with a bunch of her brothers and sisters. Can you believe that FORTY-EIGHT Northwestern C5'ers braved the deluge to get together??? Very impressive... Check out the Pacific NW sub froum for a couple of threads with pictures. Here's a couple (that I didn't take...)

Love your trophy ladybugsmom! Cool that so many folks came out in the rain. I am soooooooo frustrated! No internet since wee hrs of AM Fri morning & won't be back on line until Monday. ATT got a piece of our mind. Plus they tried to charge us $150 to get back on-line. Mike threatened to go to cable & they backed off & gave us a credit for the days off line. I just have limited time on the company mini laptop & aircard.

Guess y'all are a little more used to that kind of weather......went to a beerfest this afternoon, 80 and sunny, but no beer for me, I was the DD! Some good music and enjoyed watching drunk people.........always interesting

I had so much fun with that trophy! I wrote the date and location on the bottom, so Iceman will always remember! He wasn't even aware there WAS a trophy for farthest drive so he was surprised!

What's up with ATT? Technical issues, or plain stupidity?
