I used to routinely have rear seat passengers in both my '97 T/A and my '02 Firehwak and no one seemed to complain too much either about getting in or sitting back there. The rear seats in the 5th get are less passenger friendly particularly for anyone over the age of 12.

My dad, once... well twice. And he whined about the lack of headroom. He's 6' on a good day.
My parents took me to dinner for my birthday about a month after I bought my car. I drove there, my mom drove home because I had a few too many adult beverages. To this day, she is the only other person I have allowed to drive my car, not counting the two times it's been in for service/warranty work.

I have crammed many a poor soul in my rear... Errrr, back seat! I usually tell them to sit sideways, makes everybody more comfortable, and the leather cleans easily. It's a car.

Why on earth would anyone want to sit back there?
To answer your question, yes I'd allow it, but nobody to date has wanted to sit back there. |
