Lighting up the backseat

This is more of a need suggestions/ideas on how-to thread to be honest.

Redid all the interior lighting and replaced it with blue LEDs from AAC, blue footwell lighting as well. This all looks great at night when you unlock the car and the whole cabin just glows. The other day I had people getting into the backseat, rare but it happens, and I noticed that as much light as the front had the back was nearly pitch black.

My dream idea, is to wire footwell lighting into the back seats, as well as hooking up an AAC spotlight/lightpod to the headliner. All while still being tapped into the dome light wiring. Suggestions on how this can be accomplished without completely tearing out my interior.

Yes, someone on here put the footwell light in the front and back. From the picture it looked really nice and from what I remember reading it wasn't much harder to do than the fronts. I'll try to find the link if I can.

Could probably run wires pretty easily from the front footwell along the center console and have two more rear footwell lights mounted at the back/bottom of the front seats.

Thanks so much First. This is a huge help. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to the thread. Had a busy evening, and not the good kind.

Figured it out while I was riding the elevator down to the parking lot today. I know right.

Take two of the LED light strips from AAC, as these do not need a inverter/diode for installation. Take off the side paneling of the center console area. (You need to have previously installed footwell lighting to do this). Find the positive wire that runs to the LED strip on each side. Take a T-tap connector and plug in the positive wire of your new LED strip. Run the wire inside of the center console and then right under the seat. There are grounds all over the center console so take your pick.

Answered my own question, score

You should be able to do this with the CCFL's. Just mount the inverters somewhere in the console and run the wires out under the seats. If you have the fluorecents in the front, you'll want to match. There are two grounding spots on either side of the console towards the front if you remove the panels. I wired mine to come on with the dome light by tapping into the dome wire near the gas pedal.
