I've come to the conclusion that the automatic is the way to go, these transmission and clutch issues are just an un-needed PIA. I know I have had nothing but aggrevation from my clutch.

Does that mean everyone is affected? No. Does that even mean lots of people are affected? No. It does mean that if you are going to experience a problem, then it's likely to be related to a certain component. Every machine ever produced has issues. They all have problems. The severity of the problems makes a difference. It's cheaper to replace problematic brakes than transmissions. When it's new how the company responds also matters. Did they take care of their customers or ignore them? |

how is it illogical? No one stated the MT82 was fault free... what I did say was most of the issues were fabricated in the owners head. The MT82 whining is normal the transmission is noisey. For coyote to say he was fearful of his life because of a noisey transmission is hilarious. The issue with the MT82 was grinding and gear kick outs, which was due to pressure plate bolts backing out from early 2011's, and some 2012's, those cars were fixed under warranty. Revisions were made, case is closed. Why it has become some major catastrophy, I don't know, it affected less than 1% of the cars. |

Ive personally seen a new 5.0 with just drag radials run low 12s so 11s with some bolt ons and slicks shouldnt be a problem for them.
