ctk1, that is exactly the look I'm going for. I hope mine turns out as good as yours! As for having a local sign company make them, where did they get the template? Is that available somewhere?

I'll be adding the "LS3" lettering (from EmblemPros) to the sides of the cowl like some of the old school cars had.

I was also leaning towards the 3M product, so its reassuring to see others echoing the sentiment.

The guy that I had do mine was able to scan a factory stripe from a dealership. I'm not sure if it was already on a car or if the shop let him scan a new, unapplied one. As long as you buy stripes made of good vinyl, any local sign co. should be able to install them for $50-$100. Bigworm, Nightshades, and Ridergraphix all use good stuff and they already have the pattern.

I wonder if the folks who did yours still have the pattern and could make another set? Do you have them on the trunk and on the factory spoiler too? Do you remember where you got them and (if you don't mind me asking) how much you paid for them?

Yes, I have them on the trunk and spoiler. I paid $300 for the stripes and installation. Unfortunately the guy has since passed away.

Sad to hear. Found a local shop that will do them installed for $385 so will probably go with that. Thanks for the input (and the pictures were inspirational!)

I am not sure either. I will ask my sister as she is doing that all the time to me.

Yeah, that $500 - $600 does seem a bit low. I was quoted $900.

Pulled the trigger on these over the weekend. Here's some before and after pics for anyone still on the fence. Also added the LS3 logos to the cowl (from http://www.emblempros.com) I love the old school look.
