did you get the simonize, or whatever GM calls it, protectant when you bought the car?? if so, they will cover that. if not, then the dealer is prob gonna tell you to pound sand...

i also believe its bird crap. i had a bird crap on my 2010 red jewel coupe. it was there 3 days until i washed the car, and the paint underneath was damaged (not as bad as yours thou). so when i got my 2012 45th vert, i had them do the simonize which gives an extended warranty on the paint, because gm paint is poor quality.

Ugh. I religiously watch my car for bird crap and large bug splatters just to avoid things like that.

Good luck!

Brake fluid can cause the paint to bubble up.

Hopefully I don't get any copiers when I place a pic of my car in my Avatar with people claiming it's theirs and I stole it. Sometimes I wonder.
No sweat just when I installed that pic. I started seeing it all over the forum and I was like when the heck did I post that, then I realized that it was someone else but anyway I really glad I said that because your new Avatar looks way better, now can I steel yours .

Should I take it to my local dealer? I got my car in May of 2010 so it is barely two years old. :(
Take it in and have them repaint it. If they wont then switch to Chrysler. They repainted my moms 7 year old 90,000 mile car due to delamination. Unacceptable Chevy!

I am sorry, but this is wrong, it in not GMs fault something got on the paint and did this, from the looks of it any paint would have been damaged from whatever got on it. Why do people think GM "owes" them repairs that are not a fault of GM's. If they did this nobody could afford these cars.

Agree 100%. This is definately damage caused by a foreign substance.
GM would be nuts to cover this under warranty imo.
How come everything is always somone elses fault ?
