You have to cut the cowling and hood or get a bigger hood. The holley is roughly the size of the Beck intake I used to have. No chance of fitting under a stock cowl.
You can see where it touches ![]() And after trimming/cutting cowl (you can see the tab that holds the leftmost wiper assembly bolt in the pics rear center of the intake) ![]() ![]() And with the plastic pieces back in place ![]() The beck matches the hi-ram's dimensions within 1/8 of an inch in most spots. I actually sold it, and went to a tony mamo FAST 102 since it didnt line up to my heads very well, and I did not want to angle mill them to seat it. Was a neat conversation piece though, and certainly cool looking.

Were these aftermarket heads that were not compatible or the stock ones?

I don't believe it will clear the cowl, based off the the amount of room I had. Not saying its impossible, though.

Vararan is coming out with a intake thats cross ram with dual plenums, should be at SEMA this year. They've been working o it for 3 years. Power gains are going to be substantial. SEMA is around the conne, so the wait shouldn't be to long.
