You have to cut the cowling and hood or get a bigger hood. The holley is roughly the size of the Beck intake I used to have. No chance of fitting under a stock cowl.

You can see where it touches

And after trimming/cutting cowl (you can see the tab that holds the leftmost wiper assembly bolt in the pics rear center of the intake)

And with the plastic pieces back in place

The beck matches the hi-ram's dimensions within 1/8 of an inch in most spots.

I actually sold it, and went to a tony mamo FAST 102 since it didnt line up to my heads very well, and I did not want to angle mill them to seat it. Was a neat conversation piece though, and certainly cool looking.

If i lower the block with shorter motor mounts(1.5"-2.175"), would it clear the cowl and wiper system?
Were these aftermarket heads that were not compatible or the stock ones?

I don't believe it will clear the cowl, based off the the amount of room I had. Not saying its impossible, though.

Vararan is coming out with a intake thats cross ram with dual plenums, should be at SEMA this year. They've been working o it for 3 years. Power gains are going to be substantial. SEMA is around the conne, so the wait shouldn't be to long.

SEMA is in November, so I'm guessing November I do know it will be a nice setup base on what Patrick has told me.
