To make 700hp motor out of the LS3 naturally asperiated would be a task. You would first need all forged materials(Crankshaft, Pistons, connecting rods, Blah blah). After 550hp I wouldn't trust the cast crank to stay in one piece. You would also probably need a better intake manifold, and a better carberator with a higher cfm. Also match port the heads to the intake manifold. On that note you might want different heads as well, ones with bigger valves and preferably out of aluminum. From there I would say a lot of bolt ons. A huge camshaft, a CAI, and new exhaust manifold. With all this you will probably be just short of 600hp at the flywheel. To get the extra hundred horse, you could to a few things. You could alter the actual displacement of the motor. Changing the crankshaft or connecting rod sizes. You could also bore out your motor as well, but keep in mind you would have change the size of the piston heads and the piston rings. And I wouldn't bore the LS3 more than 30 over. But if you alter the compression ratio to 12.5 to 1 or 13 to 1 you will get more horsepower with a better fuel. There lots of things you can do if you want a high horse motor.

Need pistons and rods. FYI - Past that, the block sleeves split at the bottom before the crank goes.

a solid roller, ported setup on race fuel could make 700 hp or more. But not worth it for a street car.
