Anybody Spray'n their SS yet - nitrous ?
Just wondering was anybody running nitrous ? what type of system is best for this car (wet or dry) up to a 125 shot ? How much can the car handle ?

We will be spraying our ss the week it arrives. Our current 90mm plate system will bolt right on. However we will be designing a complete bolt on system for this car..
For the size shot you will be spraying gyou could do wet or dry. Personaly I prefer the simplicity of a well designed wet system and that is all I run on my cars. If I can answer any questions for you let me know. By the way you will see our step by step install in GM Hightech magazine. Look for it in about 1 to 2 months. Dave |

Why would we be kidding. Adding a bottle is the most cost affective way of making up to 150 extra horses safely. And since the power is only there when you want it it will not affect your daily drivabilty.
Nitrous is by far the biggest bang for the buck |

Why all the nitrous HATE? I think its a great way of adding moderate ammounts of power and avoid dealer dection.

There is nothing that compares to the ride of a properly installed and well tuned system. Remember Popeye the green Camaro?
As with anything else, many and most perceptions of nitrous use are caused by lack of information and preparedness. My thanks and respect to Spike. He has covered quite a lot. Even David Vizard has written books and articles on this and there is still more information to be discussed. Where's the info on window switches to use with drive by wire and activation of the system and timing retard? I know most of this can be done with MSD stuff like the Digital 7 or a Multi Step box with chips but that stuff has the stgma of being for the stand alone non-ECM envronment. How can you get the same functionality for the ECM motor? Also missing is the mention of custom coatings (ceramic coat on piston crowns and lubricant coat skirts and wrist pins).

Its pretty sweet but be careful I had it (125 shot) on my 97 TA worked amazing had a special arming system when it was on (toggle switch) it kicked in after intial throttle to control backfire until it didnt work bout 6 months after install short or something sprayedrtoo early backfire almost put my airfilter and housing through the radiator she never ran the same after that! Prob will pass on my new 35-40k Maro.
