And maybe wish you would have just went with a V6?

I know this is a longshot but I am curious if anyone thinks they have more then enough HP with the SS and would want something with better gas mileage or maybe for another reason. Lol

umm no... well i got rid of my 04 sierra 1500 with a 6" lift and i regularly got 12 mpg so my 2ss gets way more than that

Wow, I can tell you the only people that would say yes are the ones who refi'ed their house to buy the car and now cant afford either. SS/RS all the way.

Yeah I think I finally convinced myself to just get the V8 otherwise I will not be happy in the long run.

The v6 has lots of pep but once you drive the SS,its just another v6

I have been researching how to get more horsepower into my SS since before I even ordered it in October. So, no a V6 was never an option.

You can never get enough horsepower! My car was delivering 25 mpg on a 700 mile trip that I just got done driving today!

Exactly, dude. You should have gotten a new Sierra too though! They average 17-18mpg now :-P hahah

I have a 1977 Silverado that gets 10mpg, flat. The only thing that helps on mileage is shutting off the engine and putting it into neutral when I go downhill... and pray that the emergency brake is enough to stop me!

So the 2SS gets almost twice the mileage my truck does, and I've been using it as a daily driver in LA traffic for the past 5 years.
