Ed, having installed literally dozens of the solid mounts on almost ALL daily drivers, EVERY customer we have installed these on was actually suprised how LITTLE NVH there was. Please don't use what GM did on the Camaro as an example for anything given the fact that they cut corners almost anywhere they could and multiple sourced parts just to save a few cents. There is still plenty of rubber in the uprights, control arms, toe arms, and most importantly, the tires to keep the NVH to a minimum.
And yes there is a measureable difference between an insert and a billet replacement. |

I must agree. The difference in handling with the pedders bushings is phenomenal and there is very little road noise. Just my .02

Any experience with Prothane rear subframe bushings? They are quite a bit less expensive and I would like to know why. Beyond R&D for fitment and polyurethane density a mold is a mold so why do Pedders and BMR cost two or three times the cost of prothane? I'm ok paying more for a higher quality part but I'm not ok paying more for the same part! Any experience would be great

I Pedderized my subframe and all other bushings, and the car handles awesome.
I use it on a road course, and it handles as good as any car out there in the corners with the Porsches and Corvettes. Then pulls away on the straights.

I have the full BMR rear bushings, and suspension components and I love them. Got rid of wheel hop when Im at the track and my car is still fine to use as a daily driver. Give Kyle at BMR a call. Great people to deal with.

Man...I don't know why these old threads keep getting dug up. You realize this thread is 2 yrs old. I'm sure the OP has moved on by now.
But...since we are back on the subject, the reason to buy the inserts has alot to do with installation. There is a pretty big difference in the installation between the two. Plus inserts are reversible if for some reason you need to....full bushings are not. That being said I would definately agree that ultimately a full bushings is your best option and if you can swing the cost of the Pfadt solid bushing then that is the way to go.
