lol It's a great camera.... I'm sure they've made some good improvements over my generation but I'm very pleased with mine.

My brother and I have also been contemplating getting a Go Pro as we also ride dirtbikes and have a pretty cool MX track on private family owned land.
I've done some research, but not a lot. The newest one, the "Hero 3" has three different versions I believe. The cheapest version is called the "White Edition" and from what I can tell it does all I'd need. The only (sort of) draw back about it is that it won't do full 1080P while wide view mode, which is the mode you want to be in cause its just much cooler looking. It will do 720P in wide mode which is acceptable for me. I have looked up the Hero 2 online on sites like Ebay, but you can't find a good used Hero 2 with all the accesoried included for less than $200. I don't know how the Hero 2 compares to the new Hero 3 White Edition.

I've done a little bit of research over the last few hours and it seems that the hero2 and hero3 silver are pretty much identical in all visual aspects. It's in the audio aspects where the hero3 excels. Here's a video on youtube where they have some pretty good tests (in my opinion), that show the differences.

So I took my car out for a drive today as it is finally nice and sunny. Haven't had it out for a good week to maybe closer to 2 weeks. Haven't driven it a lot lately because of the weather.
Anyways, it did something strange, that has actually happened once or twice before and not that I'm freaking out about it or anything, but when it does happen it is quite unnerving. A real "WTF" moment. I was cruising down the highway, normal rpms 6th gear and suddenly the engine acts as if it is missfiring and starts shuddering and what not. Almost feels as if the transmission is skipping or like the engine was fed too much fuel and the engine is choaking or sputtering. It lasts a second or two and goes away. No CEL. Like I said it has happened once before, but this time I noticed it happened when I was steady on the highway and then released my foot off the gas. It happening when I released my foot off the gas is what has me thinking maybe it was a fuel issue??? But thats just a guess. I can't remember what I was doing exactly when it happened the previous time, except that was cruising on the highway. I will also say that both times I had probably only been in the car 2 - 5 minutes so it may not have been fully warm. Anyone else notice this? I wonder if there would be any codes it left behind that I could view?

Been away for the weekend since I made that last post. I'll definitely check it and see what I come up with.

As for best place to order one Apex has been great for me and so has Ivan over at South West Speed. I have the elite can and really like it. I prefer it over the RX for its draining method. If you choose the RX can keep in mind they have a little bit of wait time. |

I have the Hero 2. If you go to my YouTube channel (link in sig) my in car videos are taken with it. Great quality. A co worker has the Hero 3. Imho it isn't worth it, unless you need the latest and greatest tech.
Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy S III using telekinesis.
