With what has been happening to your v6 I would say upgrade to the SS. I would avoid FI since you are having that issue, or atleast avoid it until it gets fixed. But ultimately it is your choice

With your cars problems I wouldn't want to invest more cash into it.
Specially putting more power in the engine. Would you go for another v6 and supercharging that brand new engine ? The lfx is better for forced induction and tuning you will be getting more power than a stock v8
