NOT including the GM Bonus cars that were ordered and configured - 6, of which 3 are delivered, and one in process. and possibly two will go in tomorrow, pending tomorrows news.

Is the reason for the hold because of the cost to fix this issue at the dealer or because they want to stop shipping potentially bad trannies?

I for one do not plan on dumping at 6 grand anytime soon. So as far as I am concerened move me out of QC and let me have the car. I am happy to get it fixed later if I have one of the bad transmissions. I even promise not to complain......

that sucks that only 50% of your dealer allocation have been delivered as of today.

Another good point to GM putting SS M6s on hold and correcting this problem:

SS A6s will be taking up the slack in production!

What I would like to know is HOW do they check the transmission ? Can't they check it BEFORE it is installed ? So do they complete the car , drive it over to a parking lot then do a few "clutch dumps" @ 5000 rpms and if it doesn’t blow up, it's good to go ?
