I came so close to buying a G8 GT. They were about $5-6 grand off list in early 2009, but I ordered my Camaro 1SS at list
I'm looking forward to seeing an all black Chevy SS.
I hope it looks much better than the silver one I've seen.

Keep the G8. It's a much better car especially in the looks department. The G8 isn't easily replaceable either. The camaro is bland and they are everywhere. People seek nice G8s out. People go to the dealer and have a pick of whatever they want. Keep the G8. Have you seen the redesign?

One thing i can say about the G8 owners they drive there cars a lot. All the used ones i see have a ton of miles on them. Its a rare car but collectable i don't know about that. Its just my opinion if you want a rare car that people want to collect stay away from modern vehicles. Just my 2 cents.

Do me you mean the puke mobile 2014 SS? Then yes. That thing is straight up ugly, I've seen it in person. The interior is great, but the exterior is a major fail. You can only get them in a 6 speed auto the car starts at $45K. If they brought over the Holden GTS model and such then yea I'd look into it. But as it is now I don't think the car will be around very long.

I'm going to have to heavily disagree with you.

I would've traded for 2013. Keep it now and hopefully Chevy will redeem themselves with the next gen. By then maybe you afford to keep both.

Thanks again for all the input. A lot of great points. Right now I have a 1 car garage (living in apartment) so buying a 2nd car would put one outside and I don't want to do that. Plus I'll be buying a house possibly in the next 8 months so I know what I "shouldn't" do (which is go buy it). If I could keep the G8 within my family (father) then the SS is a no brainer.

So, for now I'll hold on to it unless I get some crazy offer on the G8. Anyone feeling generous? Lol
