Yes, well about stating to ones significant other "No Mods Needed"...

Infamous last words I say.... Today I decided to create a new build thread for my new Camaro. While creating this build thread I started to think about modifications. Since I moved from a 2LS 2011 Camaro to my current 2014 1LE I had thought no modifications needed. The rims are nice (check), The exhaust is NPP (check), The performance will get me 0-60 in 6.0 and the 1/4 will get me at least a 13.9 (check) ... yes that is with me driving.. so based on that information I said no modifications needed.....

Then the devil on my shoulder spoke up, Wait what about tint, yea that's nice to have (ok maybe I need that), How about black lug nuts (yea the chrome just don't do it justice), Then the hood its vinyl, hum man Carbon Fiber would look sick and while I am at it lets do the spoiler... I have to remove the CAMARO on the side, yea not much into badges... (Hey that is free, Nice!!!) What about the headlight area, yea maybe accent with some flat black paint or vinyl....

Now what about performance... Yea never ventured to the V8 threads.... (stated the voice)

OMFG, I CAN GET ANYTHING REALLY!!!!! YOU SAY 3" EXHAUST W/O CATS WHAT!!!!.... ok wait dont want a second job.... but you have plastic...(the voice stated)

Now how do I explain this to the wife???? Or better yet, how do I stop once I start.... I think I am going

The latest purchase was pretty sweet. I was in the garage a few wks ago and said don't get me anything for Xmas. I said I want to get some new rims. Right there no hesitation she said go ahead and order them. I was thinking there has to be a catch. No hesitation I ordered them. Got em yesterday. She even brought them into the house since I was at work

Yea, well my wife liked the Green Car more (2LS 2011 Synergy Green Camaro). But when the 1LE came out I really wanted it. We went to the dealership together and looked around... I spotted the 2014 1LE and she said go ahead, now we all know if the wife says do something you don't wait you act... So I purchased the 1LE, and she is warming up to the new car. So I may wait till summer time to purchase some modifications. I have been married for 27 years now and man I would do another 50 with this lady. Oh sorry off topic ... Anyway looks like you like the Cubs and might live in Chicago.. I was there when my son graduated from US Navy boot camp. Beautiful place nice people, though I got lost on dundy road for like two hours...

Anyway thanks for the comment cant wait to see your rims on the car!!!

I tried to build my camaro to where I wouldn't be inclined to mod it at least for a while. I have already been looking at stuff and I don't even have the car yet. My only limit will be my budget it seems...

Struggle with it daily! I've done the tint, all the Roto fab engine dress up goodies, cold air intake, badge removal etc.
My little buddy says "screw the warrantee! A cam would be awesome! Long tubes? Tune? Injectors? The list goes on and on."
I really just wish I could drive it more! 2012 #862 with 2000 miles. That's sad!

I hear you haha.. My fiance aka my financial advisor and I are paying for our wedding so we are doing a little bit longer engagement......wellllll about that this is my second camaro i did the same thing traded my v6 for and 8 and man oh man did that open the flood gates. I said babe you know Im going to mod the crap out of this thing and yea yea I will wait untill the wedding is paid for. Haha if you know where my car is at today its funny because I have 6 months from saturday until I get married and i swear I didnt mod my car haha

Have pfadt lt's, cai, scoop, washer relocate, zl1 rockers and vinyl sitting in my office. Jre tuners in the mail and I'm about to order the pfadt trailing arms to get rid of the wheel hop.

I started modding my car when it only had 40 miles on it. I still have a couple things I'd like to do yet then I'm done! My wife knew I was a car guy when she married me almost 30 years ago. She's been more then understanding and I thank her for that when ever I order more parts.

i would never own a shitbox german car, but i think the only car that i see on the road that i would not modify would be the new mercedes CLS. i couldnt afford to void the warranty too haha. tint, sound system, basics like that dont count as modifying in my book, because they are absolute requirements. though knowing how much i love the sound of a v8, especially twin turbo v8, id probably put cutouts on it, but i think id stop there.

but then id see modified ones like this, and have to do wheels, etc:

I think it is the best looking car on the market right. not the most elegant or beautiful, but the best. just appeals to me so much.
